A WARM WELCOME
The Star & Dove, formerly known as The Cumberland Hotel, stands in the heart of vibrant Totterdown, Bristol and dates all the way back to the mid-19th century.
Chef Proprietor Newstead Sayer and his team relaunched the much-loved local landmark in late 2019 and have worked hard to create a dog friendly, classic British pub, proudly offering an authentic modern British menu, a hand-selected wine list and a selection of Local cask ales.
We are open Wednesday to Saturday 12pm – 11pm with food available throughout the pub from 12pm-2pm for lunch and 6pm-9pm in the evening. On Sundays, we’re open 12pm-5pm and serve our Sunday roast menu all day.

Thaw out on our cosy wingbacks by the open fire in the winter months or pull up a seat by the window and watch the people of Bristol going about their day. As the sun starts to creep back out, guests can catch some rays in our secluded suntrap back garden or wine and dine al fresco out front.

OUR SPACES
The Star & Dove is full of unique spaces. Our large Gallery Room which hosts live music and stand-up comedy shows as well as a pub quiz and showcasing local Bristol artwork and also our sun soaked beer garden with chunky hand-built benches to our Instagram-ready sheltered snugs.
